Easter Letters
by Ann Ree Colton
He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his
shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was
taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from
the earth. -Acts 8:32,33
At
Easter we greet you in bliss joy and anticipation of our steps of liberation
through our ascended Lord. His passion has been handed down to us that we
may know the victory of overcoming the fear of death. Each Easter is a
birth to immortality, to grace.
The
time of Easter as a time of liberation is known intuitively to be a high
tide of light. Jesus chose this time to accept His crucifixion because the
rise of the sun’s light was at its height of drawing upward all budding
growth in the earth.
The
state of the mind in this time is also inclined toward enthusiasm and
hopefulness. Everything seems possible during Spring. The seed of the
infinite life implanted within our hearts explodes into virile life that we
may be made aware we are sons of God.
In
this time we are being reminded that Jesus and the Father work in us as one,
that we accomplish what Jesus did: become one with the Father.
To
accept the Jesus resurrection polarizes us into the wholeness of self which
can know no death, defeat or failure. To all who believe and seek
fulfillment in wholeness, Jesus comes to consecrate the marriage of spirit
and soul, of mind and body, of heart and desire.
“All things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
(St. Matthew 21:22) This Bible statement is vitally alive at Easter. In
the days before and at Easter, ask Jesus to reveal Himself to your need for
light, that your body and soul be filled with the light of resurrection.
*
At
Easter we hear the echo of His words reminding us of the Power of God
through His Son who lives in us eternally and forever.
In
our soul temples we make pure the resurrection altars with the blossom
offering of our hearts. What would our world be without the Jesus
Presence? He dwells; He lives; and He is the deathless in us, making us
also deathless.
His
yoke of Light sustains our way through trials, through suffering. With His
Light we are ever in the affirming power of God as love, as grace.
Each Easter we add to our knowing, our faith. For this is the time of the
Christ-Mind, which we all seek to experience and to yield up the fruits
thereof, that life may be lived gloriously, beautifully.
As
Niscienes we hear the immortal hammers creating the mansions of the spirit
rather than the nail holes of His suffering. We see beyond the cross,
looking to the great horizon of His victory. We see our victory and know
that “He is Risen,” and even so are we.
