"SUNBURST MANDALA"
by Jonathan Murro
A mandala is the product of the soul's medallion. To
create a perfect mandala, one must be at one with his soul's pulsation.
The process of making a mandala stills the emotions and
the thoughts, and enables the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the
superconscious mind to be at one, thus clearing the field of karma.
A mandala portraying the sun enables its creator to open
the third eye within, setting up a process of light in the mind
over-directed by the soul. In ancient times, the sun was thought to be the
eye of God. Men worshipped the light proceeding from the eye of God.
Light is the vehicle for meditation and revelation. This
mosaic mandala created by Jonathan Murro, portraying the sun's effulgence,
is an initiatory seed-mantra disc. A seed-mantra contemplation gives steadiness and
control of the mind; it also opens creativity, and union with the soul....
The eleven diamond forms surrounding the golden spherical center of the
mandala represent self-realization. Self-realization is correlated to the
planet Uranus. Uranus rules all initiatory energy mastery. This mandala is
an energy solar disc. It dissolves negativity, stimulates, and ignites.
To make a mandala and thereby make union with the soul's medallion and the
soul's potential, one should use the Niscience technique of color freshets.
Through regular practice of the use of color freshets, a mandala eventually
is created, giving an inward satisfaction and freeing grace. One should not
expect to make a perfect mandala in the beginning of his freshet creations.
In time, his soul will lead him to perfect a coordinated, spherical,
unifying color disc outpicturing his identity and soul.

"A SOLAR ARCHETYPE"
by Ann Ree Colton
This painting, called "A Solar Archetype," describes the
spherical Archetypal-Light action. The projection of light in color portrays
the raying spherical light spectrum of the Christ. The blue form in the
center portrays the Archetone or the Holy Ghost sounding His Vibrational
action, setting free the great Archetypal Hum or Word of God.
To understand and to respond to the Archetypal System of
instruction is to be free. We who walk the Path today are more than mystical
novices in light. As scientists we must look to Jesus, the great Manifestor,
who used the mighty Archetypal ideas and powers to manifest the Will and
Mind of God to the world.
When we see Jesus and His miraculous powers within
the frame of the Greater Archetypes, we can see that He truly did make the
Word flesh in us through His mighty channeling of the Word of God. Since His
coming, we are destined to increase our soul expansion and our minds' light,
becoming more aware in each age of the Word through Him. With a great age
such as we are now experiencing, we are looking beyond the storm of chaos,
determining to hear His voice above all others speaking for the Word of God.
All souls of the earth, all creatures, and all sentient and non-sentient
life are presently undergoing a synthesis receptivity from the great and
Mighty Archetypes or the Word. The Word is once again being made flesh or
manifested into the soul, mind, forms, names, and actions of man as it has
never been seen in the earth before.
Through epochal and cyclical action, the Word during great intervals is sent
into the world to receptive minds. Receptive souls respond; men rise to
greater heights to create with their Creator -- God. It is the destiny of all
that one must produce from what he is (spirit). The Word or Spirit of God
during a greater synthesis archetypal time literally turns over the souls of
men to compel them to do mighty and new creative things.
During a synthesis archetypal time, the Solar or Sun Archetypes also flow
into the souls of men, uniting them with the Time-Spirit or the "Ancient of Days." All who have followed the light respond to this solar archetypal
light. The Christ, the Son of God, makes Himself known to those who are
vessels for the Light.
The age now before us is literally a "time within times." In this great new
age, lasting 2500 years, men will learn of and use the energies of the soul,
mind, and planets, thus becoming masters of time and space. From this will
come forth another Golden Age to the earth and to man.
In these times, all resisting the light will suffer; all resisting the tone
will come under the purging aspect of the sound or the Great Vibration of
the Holy Ghost. So does God reinforce His creation through and by His Word.
All have the opportunity to rise and to be cleansed in preparation for the
New Day.
When the Solar Archetype is quickened, this brings about the radical
upsetting of decadent fixations. The Solar Archetype produces certain daring
and creative inventive incentives until now dormant in the minds of men.
The Archetone within the Archetype sounds when the Archetype is ready for
manifestation. The Spirit of Truth and the Holy Ghost stir and flood the
upper planes of the Astral World or the First Heaven with ideas and pictures
which fall into the minds of prophets, seers, and advanced disciples; and
this in turn produces the transcending changes in the outer life of the
world.
I was first initiated into the Supreme or Greater Archetypes in December
1952 to January 1953 in the city of New York. The Archetypes unveiled their
meaning to me, producing the System of Niscience.
This painting...was painted in the city of Pasadena, California in the year
of 1954.

"THE TONGUES OF THE HOLY GHOST"
by Ann Ree Colton
Holy Ghost sounds the tone that men be stirred in
acceptable times. Under the Will of God, man responds and moves. Christ
reveals, when man matures. Charity under the Christ sees man yet in the
state of maturing, rising, ascending. All shall rise under Him who came to
lift men and to bring the Light. Holy Ghost as a Being and Comforter is
known by the Father and Jesus as 'The Spirit of Truth.' Holy Ghost, working
with the Alpha Hum and Omega Tones of the earth, animates all life with the
Word or Spirit of Truth. Holy Ghost as the Spirit of Truth is in command of
equation. Ho.,y Ghost auric vibrational tone sounds can erase or manifest.
The Will of God uses the Holy-Ghost sounding to renew men and to decrease
men
In the present time, the
sounding of the Holy Ghost is producing a new charisma in the world. Man
exists in a state of chaos, that he may open the eternal atoms of his higher
mind, and thus stand more upright for God.
Spiritually sensitive souls are aware of the Holy-Ghost
action, and respond according to their spiritual aptitudes. Negative persons
respond with irritation, dissolution, rebellion.
The Holy-Ghost tone will cease not until all are
rectified under the Will of God. When Holy Ghost works with t he resurgence
tones of man's renewal, one may be said to fall into the hands of the living
God. This is why it is stated in scripture, "It is a fearful thing to fall
into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:31)
The tumult of tongues (dark lines)
The Holy Ghost brings peace of the tumult of tongues
Lower right (red): the tongue of patriotism
Lower right (blue): the tongue of peace
Tongues of flame
Tongues of fire

Tongues of love
The tongue of the Holy Ghost penetrates as a two-edged sword
Androgynous angels who work with the Holy Ghost (male, left; female, right).

"THE GOLDEN ROAD"
by Jonathan Murro
The symbol of a turtle seen in a vision or dream or used
as an identifying figure in a color freshet means TO GO SLOW, or to maintain
one's equilibrium and poise.
The turtle having another turtle on its back signifies
that the one involved in the painting must share his spiritual life and
instruction and must carry a lesser initiate or "turtle" on his back.
The path shaped in the form of a fleur-de-lis shows that
one can be led to the left or the right in the slow path.
To the left, the field offers the temptation of
relaxation and rest. To the right of the turtle, the pool of blue water
indicates the indulgence of the emotions or the enticing immersions into
emotional affairs.
Ahead of the path is a crossroad which the turtle or
initiate must next encounter. The symbology indicates, however, that the
turtle's sight is fixed on the centered point of light beyond the
crossroads. This is his goal and even though ladened with a
lesser initiate on his back he is striking out with his right foot, showing
that he will not be misdirected or misled by any of the enticements on
either side. His goal is the central sun, a golden disc centered upon the
horizon.
The brown mountains ahead, before he reaches this goal, indicate that he must
master the forces of matter before he enters into the light.
This painted "freshet" is symbolic of all who enter the path. Temptations
are ever nigh, but one must keep his eyes fixed on the goal or the light.
The footprints behind the turtle indicate that he is leaving his mark or
message of his struggle to reach the light.

"STEPS TO INITIATION"
by Jonathan Murro
This freshet painting by Jonathan Murro, painted in
January, 1953, was one in a series of initiatory paintings.
The unusual facet of this painting was that Jonathan had
had no previous metaphysical or philosophical training in this life. The
painting relates to initiation into the Hall of Learning in which one must
enter and gain mastery over two portals or doors to spiritual consciousness.
The black and white floor represents the great alternates
that the initiate must master before entering triune doors of consciousness.
The alternates represent the duality laws of the earth and the necessity to
master the dark and light forces within his own nature. In certain teachings
they are called the feminine and masculine principles, the yin and the yang.
In the scientific world of the West these forces are called the dark and the
light.
Every white square represents a white or pure aspect
of action. Every black square represents the adversary and the unmanifest to
be mastered by the initiate.
Before an initiate may mount the stairs containing the 9 steps, he must
balance these alternate forces within his own nature. He does so through
dream initiation and mastery over the astral world.
The four columns in the painting represent the initiation into the four
cosmic points of the earth -- north, south, east, and west. The initiate is
introduced into the universal laws upholding the continuity of the earth
through the mastery of the cosmic forces.
The hand-railing supporting the walk up, contains 22 balusters. This
represents the mastery of the number 22, again relating to 4, or one's own
supporting physical body through which he expresses himself in the physical
world -- the physical body, the emotional body, the etheric body, and the
mental body.
The 9 steps to the Hall of Learning represent the 9 portals or openings in
the physical body. These portals are outlets and antennas for the 5 senses
of man. In reaching up for spiritual consciousness, the initiate must shut
out the lower sense action which worked through the 9 openings of the body,
that he may rise upward into communing with the spiritual planes.
The blue carpet represents the plane of akasia or mental plateau of mind or
rational initiation.
The 2 circles in which a golden triangular form is seen represent 2 spheres
of consciousness to be mastered. The circle represents protection. The
golden triangle represents supreme consciousness.
The door to the left or the triangle opening within the circle represents
the mystic mind of high purity watched over by the Bodhisattvas and Saints.
This relates to the First Heaven. One entering this mystic door is
instructed and led into the higher atmospheres of Holy Mediation. He becomes
aware of the angels, of their helps and ministerings. He must master heart
initiation or love.
The centered circle with the head of the Master on a pedestal-like form
indicates that the initiate experiencing this freshet is being led into the
second door of the archives, records of the soul, and is now ready to
prepare for the telepathic communion with the Masters.
The third circle -- unformed -- to the right shows that the disciple at the
time the freshet was painted had yet to open the third door. This door takes
the initiate into the archetypal world.
All initiated into higher consciousness must enter these three doors.
Through life after life, the soul seeks to open the door to the Higher
Worlds.
The majority of men in the earth are still struggling with the black and
white alternates and have yet to take command over their sensuality, so that
they may rise upward to the lighted regions of the golden promise of the
soul and the mind.

"THE WOMAN AND THE SEVEN BROTHERS"
by Jonathan Murro
Black background - the one who asked Jesus the question -
the after-death state to him is a black mystery.
The woman is virtuous, and withdrawn - standing on her
own rights in Heaven, she sees each man as he thought he was.
The one in beige-pink was pious and thought he was an
angel while living, so he thinks now he is an angel in heaven.
The next brother in blue, was a just man, kind.
The one to the right with upturned nose was a muscled
body and a cunning mind.
The one with the white beard was a leader. He had a
vaporous mentality, always curious and wondering about the man
over the hill, wasting his thoughts upon things he
wondered about.
The woman is saying, "You didn’t ever know me - any of
you!"
The one in the brown in the lower right was a virtuous
man, helpful, a kind husband; he died too young to suit her.
The one in green is still moldering in the grave, but she
looks on him as one who gave favoritism to the half-brother who had
died before him; as he held him up in the physical world he feels he must
now hold him up in the after-death state.
The one in the orange was a "half-brother" among the seven. He was a mere
boy when she married him and was unable to
fulfill his conjugal duty. The woman is saying, "Here in heaven, I
belong to myself and to God. What you were in my life, does not touch me
now. I was a good wife; I am insulated from you by my virtue which is intact
in heaven."

"THE DIVINE MOTHER"
by Jonathan Murro
During several years, I was guided to make a series of
mosaic mandalas. This mandala is titled "Divine Mother," and it shows the
Mother of the World looking down on the solar system -- the sun and the
planets. Behind her are a company of angels who work with her. There are 88
angels in the mosaic.

"THE THREE ANGELS OF INITIATION"
by Ann Ree Colton
The Angel on the left is the Angel of Grace. A devotee on
the Path first comes under this great Angel and receives instruction through
the heart initiation. The second Angel represents the recording Angel who
presents him with his soul’s record. The Angel in the mosaic is holding the
book of his soul’s record. Then the probationer ascends the stairs during
the initiatory process and enters the great door to the higher world's
mysteries and secrets. The third Angel opens the door of illumination
through the portal between the eyebrow center, and initiates him into the
temple of the soul where he makes union with God. The great Angel is handing
the initiate the atom of illumination as a gift of God’s inheritance for
him.
