A Christmas Letter for 2025

Ann Ree Colton - The Immaculate Conception
Immaculate Conception by Ann Ree Colton

“...behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS....” (St. Matthew 1:20-21)

Beloved Co-Disciples,

It is with joyful anticipation that we turn unto Christmas once again. How blessed to share with like-minded ones the divine portent of the days before us – drawing us into the “manger cloud” (Ann Ree Colton) of His birth and the miracle of His coming into the world.

We know that the Son of God indeed is here – at Christmas time He is that seed planted and quickened anew in our hearts. For this the Angels attend to us and would keep us in the state of sacred inward preparation and expansion of His light. Let us approach all the details of these days with love, gratitude, knowing, and happiness. And let us fill each task with His remembrance. We reflect upon Mary and Joseph, chosen for this most profound stewardship – to care for this one sent of God to the world. And is this not what we are all truly sent to do? That is, to tend to His Increase in all souls? And to assure the preservation of His innocence in all of God’s children!

The Christ is the Archetypal Seed of divine increase planted by God into the earth! Let us rejoice in Him this holy Christmas tide! Let us hear and increase the Third Music of His coming into the world.

Wishing all our beloved co-disciples a very blessed Christmas. May your knowing of Him be a bright Light inspiring and leading all souls unto Christ.

Gratefully Yours,

Enys Miller

At Christmas the winter seeds send forth

The holy aroma of their inward life.

A Christmas pungence permeates our spirit,

Touching us that we may sense

In our innermost breath

The Holy Breath of God.

The dry grasses on the ground

The roots of the trees beneath the snow,

And the drifting clouds above,

All give their atmosphere

Of the Christmas pungence –

Healing our wounds,

Giving peace to our energies.

We are hushed;

And we walk quietly

To disturb not the pungence at Christmas.

We hear the feet of our beloved

Coming closer to our hearts

And into the shelter of our understanding.

We give thanks for the Love of God

Playing upon our many heart strings.

And we are thankful that His Son

Has given us a tongue

To speak of love.
